It all started sunny, almost to sunny to be true, in the middle of this wet autumn days, especially rainy easters. It’s been raining like all week, and is going to until the end of this week. I couldn’t believe my luck when I saw the sun shining bright outside this afternoon, cos I need to head to the city, in search of dentists to drop a jar for my extracted teeth collection. I was going to wear my sneakers, then I tot, well, I’ll just wear slippers, cos it’s too SUNNY for sneakers.
So, my search eh. It was quite successful I guess, a 50% chance. I tried 2 and one of them agreed to help me. Nice. The other one declined, but that’s alright. I tot to myself, I’ll just get another one, no worries. So, as I was walking along, Currie Street I believed it was, I accidentally walked into an uneven path and ‘plak’, there goes my slipper. It broke. This is wat I really really hate of slippers. Man, yeah, maybe it’s my fault, cos it has two strands attached and one of them was already broke, but I juts bought it OK! Yeah, from M’sia pasar malam. Haha, I noe, tolking bout LOW quality.
Sigh, enough of that, the more important thing now is the horror feeling that gush through me, damn, I haven’t felt so helpless in my life. And it was then I seriously concluded my bad sense of direction, like really bad ok. I sucked at directions, good lord I’m not actually utilising my driving liscence.
Why is directions important, cos obviously I need a pair of new slippers, and the nearest place to get it LA!~ At some point it is sOOOO freaking hard to walk around with that useless slipper, I actually walked bare foot, I noe, BARE FOOT. OMG! Sigh, I just have to comfort myself it is better than walking around, should I say hobbling around.
I was quite near the village whr my friends stay, so I tot, I might be able to borrow a pair of slippers. But then, luck turned down on me AGAIN, I tried calling Xin Yee, but hmm didn’t answer. Maybe they are playing Mahjong? cos it’s wednesday. Oh well, so I tot, fine, I’ll go to china town and central market to find cheap ugly slippers, don’t noe if I can even called them slippers, they just look ridiculous, even the ancient japanese thongs look obnoxious in comparison to one we find in M’sia. SIGHHH… Somewhr along the way, I manage to borrow a rubber band from one deli, and I strapped my slippers tightly between my foot, phew, at least I can walk now, although looking hideous..
So, I ended up go back to Rundle Street via the free bus, hoping there’s something better there. Hmm, so there’s really nothing I can get at cheap prices. DAMN, now I really miss M’sia shopping. In the end, oh yeah, did I mention it rained like crazy and the wind blow like crazy too?, Dun think so, anywayz, I managed to buy a pair of decent thongs, which looked pretty ugly on me, I bought before I even tried it, cos it’s looks OK. Nvr noe that when I put it on, oh my, it’s ok it’s ok, it’s NOT that bad, I continue to make myself feel better. But then when I looked at it, (this is after buying it cos that time, I’m just so desperate) thinking bout the price, which is AUD 14.95, rounded off 15, omg, I couldn’t have felt worse! I could have bought four pairs of nice nice slippers back in M’sia! Just let me die, let ME die!!!
Have to be more mindful in spending money d, Peng, dun waste money, SAVE SAVE SAVE!
